Anna Bruisma
Face Book was an inversion of the street portraiture found at tourist destinations. Over a two-week period I drew faces of Port-Au-Prince residents, especially the sculptors of Grand Rue. The name, contact information, job, and age of the model was gathered as well as a referral to a friend or relative for the next sitting. The sketches were exhibited with a booklet containing all the portraits and their relating information, a play off of the original spiral-bound directory used as a method of in-group networking.
