Sa Soti Direkteman Potoprins (Straight Outta Port-au-Prince) is a multimedia project that explores Haiti's genre of rap, Rap Kreyol, and the burgeoning hip-hop scene in Port-au-Prince. Over the course of my ten days in the city, I conducted interviews with some of the city's aspiring emcees, captured their persona portraits, filmed them performing acapella/freestyle and collected their music. The culmination of this work is a DVD/CD rough guide to Rap Kreyol.
